Kiddi-Oke Terms and Conditions
Please read the following rules thoroughly as the organizers may disqualify contestants who do not comply with these guidelines.
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
3. To be eligible to enter, individuals must meet the eligibility criteria.
4. Family members of the judging panel are not eligible to enter this competition.
5. The competition is open to Darwin residents who are 5 -16 years old at 16.11.19, except ineligible entrants (refer point 4).
6. The registration period commences at 9 am on Monday 23 September 2019 and entries close at 3 pm on Wednesday 20th November 2019 ("Registration Period"). This period can be closed at the promoter's discretion. (E.g. allocation full).
7. The first heat is Saturday 16th November 2019; 10 am – Noon. There is a maximum of 15 contestants.
8. The second heat is Saturday 23rd November 2019; 10 am – Noon. There is a maximum of 15 contestants.
9. The final is on Saturday 30th November 2019; 10 am – Noon. There is a maximum of 20 finalists.
10. Incomplete or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
11. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process.
12. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
13. Multiple entries into the draw from one individual are not permitted.
14. Multiple entries from one family are permitted, provided they are eligible.
15. All events will take place at Oasis Shopping Village; 15 Temple Terrace, Gray, NT 0830.
16. If the event (or part of the event) changes or is unable to be conducted, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to change or cancel any or all performances.
The Entry Process
Complete the form on the Oasis Shopping Village Website http://www.oasisshoppingvillage.com.au/kiddi-oke-registration including;
1. Your name
2. Your age. The judging categories are 5-9 years of age and 10-16 years of age.
3. Email address (or email address of your parent / guardian)
4. Phone number
5. Your song choice
6. Preferred heat i.e. Saturday 16th November or Saturday 23th November).
7. At the time of entry, parent / guardian details will be required, along with a completed Parental Consent form.
8. Entries close 3 pm Wednesday 20th November.
9. Final event schedule and contestant performance order will be confirmed directly with contestants.
10. Each child must have parental supervision on the day of the event and will need a parent/guardian's signature on all legal documentation.
11. No entry fee is charged by the Promoter to enter the Competition.
The Act
1. Contestants may perform any "song", provided it does not contain explicit language or inappropriate lyrics.
2. The act must be a solo.
3. A microphone and PA system will be available for all talent to access.
4. The act will be accompanied by a backing track with subtitles, supplied by Oasis Shopping Village.
5. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify an entry if the presentation and / or clothing are deemed inappropriate and not in accordance with the Promoter's values which include respect, integrity and competency. This includes stopping a performance mid act if necessary.
The Event
1. Each 'heat' held at Oasis Shopping Village on the 16th and 23rd November 2019 will allow for a variety of entrants to be chosen for the 'Kiddi-Oke Final' on Saturday 30th November 2019.
2. The finalists from each heat will be announced the Tuesday following the performance.
3. Contestants will be judged during the event (ie both at the heats and the final) and age will be taken into consideration within each age group.
4. The finalists are at the sole discretion of the Kiddi-Oke judge(s) only.
5. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. There will be one (1) major winner at the finals event for each age category (5-9 years of age and 10-16 years of age).
7. Final winners are announced on stage at the final event.
8. This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners.
The Heats
1. All participants will be presented with either a participation or finalist certificate. There will be a maximum of 10 participation and 5 finalist certificates per heat.
Prizes for the Final Event
2. 1st prize in each age group is a certificate and a Coles gift voucher for $50.
3. All other finalists will be presented a Coles voucher for $20, and the runner up in each age group will also receive an additional certificate.
4. All vouchers cannot be exchanged or amended and cannot be redeemed in cash.
5. The Promoter is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by the winner as a result of the winner accepting and/or using a prize (even if caused by negligence), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
1. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following:
(a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control);
(b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
(c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
(d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions;
(e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or
(f) use of the prize.
2. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
3. Details from entries will be collected and used in order to process and conduct the competition (which may, for this purpose, include disclosure of such information third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities) and for promotional purposes surrounding this competition.
4. Entry is conditional on entrants consenting to the use of their image on stage and information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional, social media, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, without further reference or payment to the entrant. This also includes the use of any photos and images generated from the heats and final event.
5. Entrants may obtain a copy of the Promoter's privacy policy and should direct any request to access, update or correct information to Morris Property Trust on 07 3390 2811 during office hours.
6. The Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its privacy policy.
